The midwives and student apprentices offer full disclosure of their experience, background and education, and are committed to supporting you in making truly informed health care decisions. All midwives or student apprentices attending births with Open Arms Midwifery, LLC are certified in CPR and neonatal resuscitation.
     The primary midwife at Open Arms Midwifery, LLC is Debbie Healy, LM, CNM, APNP.  Debbie has earned a BS in nutrition and dietetics, a BS in nursing and MS in nurse midwifery. She has attended home births since 2001 and has owned and operated this private home birth practice since 2007.   Debbie is licensed in the state of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse (RN), a Licensed Midwife (LM),  a Certified Nurse Midwive (CNM), and an Advance Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP). 
     Work as midwives will always require balance between the roles as wife, mother and midwife. In order to achieve this balance, Open Arms accepts three to four births per month with one to two pre-planned full months off during the year.
